Despite how he loved seeing justice prevail, every time he found a criminal caught, he couldn't help but sigh. So here he was, under custody in a cubicle. Thankfully it wasn't literal, but it sure felt like it was.
Ryotaro Doujima, detective. Currently sorting through a massive overload of paperwork to fill in for administrative purposes. Why can't someone else be doing this? Like, this wasn't even part of his job description. He was supposed to do the thinking, and someone else should be the one doing this. But of course, apparently when it came to writing a full-fledged report, Adachi wasn't helping. Not at all. In fact, he might even accidentally ruin all his hard work with his clumsiness. Ryotaro did not want to risk that, really.
And apparently things had gotten livelier over here, ever since the HQ dispatched a platoon of riot police over-- but what's the point? There weren't any riots in Inaba. Just a serial murderer running about, requiring real brains to solve it (not like some kid e.g. Shirogane). He momentarily stretched over the stack of papers, feeling more like an office boy than a member of the police...
... But it would be worthwhile. After all, the serial murderer seemed to have been caught. It was surprising that it was merely a student of Souji's age, and it was even more surprising that he had confessed-- Doujima actually had a hunch that there may be something more behind this, but investigations can wait until he finished this pile of paperwork that were mostly related to the arrest. So he immediately burrowed his head back into the tiny words cramped on the paper, flexing his fingers as he got back to work.
Looks like he won't be going home tonight. Again.
