The Wednesday after the school trip... The basketball team only held practices on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the occasional Saturday, and even on the rare occasion that the coach called an additional practice on a separate day, it wasn't mandatory for the manager to be there. It helped, but...
Juggling three school commitments was going to be one of her bigger challenges to date, but Shizuka had no intention of backing out now. She was just relieved that she'd been able to keep up a businesslike appearance around the twins (when, in all actuality, she was wondering just how she was going to be able to manage all of this). It wasn't until after Sao and Miu had taken their leave with a cheery wave on her end that she finally allowed her hands to drift up to rub at her temples.
"You were the ones being patient with me, Senpai," she reminded the president, exhaling softly with a smile at her own shortcomings. "I need to go pick up my brother, but if you need any help with anything, just let me know." It didn't feel right to just leave him to complete the rest of the work by himself, but until she'd gotten used to her new responsibilities and she wasn't worn out, she'd be of no use to him at all.
"I'll remind my homeroom about the trip tomorrow, too," she added, gathering up her things. "Our teacher's a little forgetful, and I'm sure no one wants to miss out on Disneyland." Herself, especially, since she'd missed the trip last year. "I'll see you later!"
With that, Shizuka was off and running, pausing only to start the black stopwatch around her neck. If she was lucky, she could beat her record to the gazebo today. Thoughts of the student council still plagued her with uncertainty, but for now, all she could do was hang in there and try.
If anything, it at least promised to be the most excitement she'd have all year.
