Name: Sho Oshiro
Age: 17
Date of Birth: August 4th, 1994
Gender: Male
Occupation: Student
School: Inoue Prep School
Class: 3-1
Personality: It's not that he's two-faced, it's simply that if he doesn't like someone, he'll let them know. To adults and fellow students, he'll behave properly and politely, as befitting his high-class status. He's charming with his words and can easily worm his way into the "perfect role model" without really having to try. His personality reflects his attitude of "I can do everything very easily and I know I can do it better than you." But disregarding his proper attitude for everyone, he can be a real ass about it to rivals. It does, however, take a lot to make him snap. He's a jerk, but in a... good-natured way. But he's generally laid back and very 'cool' about his approach to everything.
Surprisingly, he's into corny day-time dramas. Even though he pretends like he isn't. His sister is the actual fan, and she tapes them to watch after they return from their club activities. He'll watch them with her while he's doing his homework. He argues a lot with his sister, but they get along surprisingly well considering she's nearly four years younger. They both have the same aspiring, "I am better than you" attitude, coupled with an argumentative tongue.
Overall, he's really enjoys archery and studying, but doesn't have very many hobbies outside of that. He's never learned how to cook, and doesn't have much interest in learning, but very much enjoys criticizing his sister's cooking. Sho isn't a fan of things that aren't challenging, because he loves showing off his "effortless" prowess to others. That being said: He really hates losing. If you want a good way to be on the receiving end of his bad attitude, just beat him. But he holds a grudging respect for his rivals, since he considers them 'worthy' enough of his full attention and efforts.
Positive Characteristics:
+ Determined
+ Goal-driven
+ Polite to all the right people
+ Intelligent
Negative Characteristics:
- Snappy
- Foul-mouthed
- Sarcastic
- One-track minded
Appearance: He has short, dark chestnut hair that's styled flat against his head. The rough layers hang down around his face, clinging close to his ears and his neck. His bangs brush just above his eyebrows, although they dip down a bit longer between the eyes. He normally doesn't do anything to style his hair, although he'll run his hand over it from time to time to smooth it down--which has become a sort of nervous habit. His dark brown eyes are narrow and cold, often giving Sho a look of boredom on his other-wise placid face. It's hard to tell what he's thinking from just looking at his face, especially with his eyes hidden behind a pair of glasses and his frank stare.
Even though he is around 5'10", a decent height for his age, he has a bit of a height complex and hates it when people are taller than him--especially if they are younger. He is fit, though not exactly slender, although he never eats very much. He has been doing archery since middle school, and his arms and chest definately show off the years of training. His hands have several fine scars, and the tips of his fingers are calloused. Even though he wears the standard archery gloves, he'll practice without them often.
When not in his school uniform, Sho normally appears well-dressed. He wears slacks and button down shirts, through from time to time he will appear in jeans or a t-shirt. On days that he has a tournament, or has stayed after school too long in archery practice, he'll wear his uniform around. Sho has a thin gold chain with a jade Buddha pendant on it that he always wears--more out of an obligation to his family instead of the religion.

History: Born to Mato and Olivia Oshiro, Sho spent the first twelve years of his life just outside of the city in the main family house. His sister was born four years later, and they were both home schooled during their elementary years. He had a very traditional upbringing, as his grandmother made sure both he and his sister were trained in things such as tea ceremony and learned an appreciation for classical theater. Much to his family's dismay, it became evident early on that Sho had a disinterest in the family business and got into several arguments with his parents regarding the matter of succession.
Mato is the president of a large computer software company, and he had planned on training Sho once he reached high school, and later passing it on to him. But Sho announced that he didn't like computers and refused to take over the company--even though he was only ten years old when he decided this. Much to his grandmother's surprise, his parents agreed and Mato decided to take up a merger offer with another company--Endou Eletronics. It was announced that Shiki, Sho's younger sister, would be engaged to the Endou's son, even through she was 6 and he was 12 at the time. When Sho was to start middle school, Mato and Olivia moved them to a two-storey Western style house on the very edge of Inaba. At first, Sho thought that he was off the hook, only to later find out what his parents really had in mind.
They were looking for a fiancée for him, so that he could marry into a business. This frustrated him greatly, but he resigned his fate to his parents, realising that he would never be free of 'familial obligations'. It was shameful enough that he didn't want to take over the family business and so he had to settle for their second option.
Currently, the most promising arrangement comes from the daughter of a well-to-do lawyer that has a firm both in the Inaba region and in the nearest city. Sho is often sent back and forth between the main Oshiro house in the city and Inaba to keep learning classical arts from his grandmother and the inner workings of the law firms. Despite all that, he insists upon having priority to his school and club activities, as he takes great pride in his role as student council president, as well as his archery abilities.
Sho's dungeon reflects his desire for a laid-back, rule-free lifestyle. Think Vegas, only better. The low lights and the glint of gold under the flashing multi-colored lights only lend to the feeling. His Shadow still maintains Sho's suave demeanor, but twists it into a successful, if not extremely lazy, character that prefers to have others do the dirty work while he just enjoys the results.
Did you read the rules?:(offers a shurbbery) Pursing my true self, right? Right, I will.
Writing Sample: Sho tugged open the door to the sitting room and glared at the man perched nervously on the edge of couch. There wasn't anything impressive about him. He didn't even really look like a reporter, like the maid had told him. Just a slightly nervous wreck. "Listen: while I'm well aware that any type of reporter lacks manners and thinks it's perfectly fine to ask for an interview this late in the evening on a Wednesday evening, I will not--"
Make that a nervous wreck with incredibly fast reflexes. The man was about his own height, if not a weaker build, but the shoulder that was jammed into his solar plexus left Sho gasping for breath as he dropped to his knees.
"B-bastard!" he hissed, clutching a hand to his injured abdomen.
The man slipped his hands under Sho's arms and hauled the boy back to his feet. "C'mon now, be a good sport, will ya? I can't quite support you all on my own."
Unwillingly, the young man leaned against the one holding him up, trying to regain his balance and his breathing. But he suddenly realised he was being forced back one shaking step at a time. Towards his TV. "Get off!" he shouted, fighting back the hands that supported him and stumbling back onto the large screen nestled in the entertainment console.
Freed from the obligation of supporting Sho's sagging body, the man's hands leapt to his shoulders and kept him pinned against the TV screen. And then began to push him through. He also managed to avoid the failed attempts that were made by Sho as he flailed his arms in order to try and grain purchase on anything that could pull him back. Instead, the man successfully shoved him into the TV.
There was an interesting feeling of intense gravity pressing down on him, but a feeling of weightlessness at the same time that left the young man dizzy and feeling a little sick. The man's arms still grasped his shoulders, although the shocked face on the other side of the screen was washed in a dark grey and ripples extended from the points where their bodies crossed through.
"It's for your own good," the man said, but his voice was obscured by static. With one final shove, he sent the rest of Sho slipping into the television.
Well, shit, he managed to think. He wasn't too sure if he was falling, or simply floating there. Gravity pushed and buoyed his body until he really thought he would be sick. But he slipped into unconsciousness before he could hit the bottom--if there even was one.
