Name: Ōtori Jun
Age: Fifteen
Date of Birth: April 4th
Gender: Male
Occupation:blind N/A
Class: N/A
Personality: Jun is a wonderfully curious child. He always wants to know how thing work, from clocks to people. Due to his habit of not speaking, though, and his inability to see, it’s horribly difficult for him. The people around him are often met with an unending prying stare until an answer has been sufficiently reached. If given the chance he will toy with things and attempt to take them apart the best he can. It is because he only has knowledge of things though books and tutors and not through “hands-on” experiences that he is easily deceived. Almost childishly so. He believes many things people say without questioning the matter simply because he cannot argue.
It is also because his lack of human interaction that he has become horribly blunt and demanding. When he does speak, he stutters politely, though the words that come with that polite manner more often then not contradict it. He was a person who would always get what he wanted without having to lift a finger, all for fear of his illness. Since being thrown into the shadow world though, he is attempting to become more independent. This does not, though, excuse the occasional demanding outburst, nor how much more blunt he has become since.
Jun is a very logical young man. He is more regularly calm until a problem arrives and then he launches himself on it, deducing the most logical way to solve it. It is due to this that he is the bluntest to people who think with their feelings and emotions rather then their minds. But it also makes him quite dependable. He is an honest worker that won’t allow for his emotions to blur his strategies or hinder his inspections.
Positive Characteristics: Curious, honest, logical, dependable, polite
Negative Characteristics: Curious, merciless, demanding, naïve, traditional, childish, awkward in social situations

Appearance: No one would say Jun is traditionally good looking. He does not bear the gentlemanly chin nor the courageous superman curl. When Jun is standing straight, though he is more regularly slouched over, he stands at five foot three inches tall (163 cm), an average height for his age. While this height the doctors find complimentary, they often feel the need to nag him on his weight, a rather unhealthy 94 lbs, making him rather underweight. His arms and legs are thin and lanky as a giraffes and his stomach is flat. His entire being appears to be almost completely lacking of muscles of any sense, or if they were there, they must’ve been pulled tight and slight. His skin tone is a pale ivory, pock-marked with light delicate freckles only on his upper thighs and shoulders.
Jun’s hair is a rather unkempt mess of black. No other colour could be used to describe it but black; no matter which way you look at it, under whichever light it is always black. It pours down over his head like a never-ending stream of rain, and feels light and gentle to the touch. This has caused a couple people shock when he declares he doesn’t do too much treatment to his hair, a shower once every two days at the most. His hair has also been known to smell fragrantly of raspberries, which he claims is the fault of the nurse. While the back of his hair tapers off near the nape of his neck, his bangs reach far enough to obscure his eyes, and must often be plucked back with pins or clips so one may see his face. If one wants to see his face, that is.
One first glance, his eyes appear to be a stark shock of white. A blatant contrast with his hair. On closer inspection, though there appears to be a thin colour of a watery grey tinged with blue surrounding the white, like sea foam after a horrible storm. Because of his cataracts his has no pupil in either eye; the white film grew over the lens in his eye, obscuring the pupil. Jun’s eyes are a spot larger then the average male though still hints his Asian heritage by their slant. He has thin eye brows that often beckon to his emotions and slight, softened pink lips are often pulled down into a frown. He bears neither bags nor blemishes, nor does his have piercing on his ears or anywhere on his face.
His day to day attire is objectionable. This is because he rarely leaves his house. To come upon him there would find him more likely then not still in his pajamas, and he does have a rather large collection of pajamas. However to bring him out of the house to another location, this is in which his finds difficulty. Being unable to see, he is unable to judge the clothing in which he wears, thus what he does wear is hand-picked by his nurse, and then gauged by him on how comfortable it is. In the summer he wears military-green unbuttoned dress t-shirt, over top of a long sleeved black v-neck shirt that reaches the palms of his hands, and in the winter he wears a black-and-white stripped shirt underneath the black long-sleeved shirt with a red jacket with a fur-lined hood. He always wears a red collar and dress pants.

Placing his hands side beside level with his chest, the small Kuthk appears in a poof of smoke, hovering just above his hands.

History: Daisuke and Hatsume Ōtori were rather modest people. The lived a modest life in a modest house in the modest town of Inaba. They had been married at the young age of twenty-two, a couple since high school. Jun wasn’t born though, until their early thirties, ten years after they had started trying, and four years after Hatsume had been declared infertile. It is because of this that Jun had a rather protected childhood. A parent was always with him at all times; his mother quit her job to be with him. Even though this made day by day living rather difficult for the pair, they worked hard to make little Jun’s life wonderful. It pretty much succedded; he was a happy young boy whom always minded his manners. The gossipers of Inaba would always chortle about what a splendid creature he was.
Six weeks after his fifth birthday, Hatsume was taking Jun into town to buy new clothing for school. It was a rather quiet day on the rode, since most people were working or at school. On the way into town the pair got into an accident. Another vehicle slammed into the passenger’s side where Jun was seated. While his mother was able to make it out okay, she was unable to get her son out. With no cell phone and her mind all a muddle, she did the first thing she could think of and started running towards the city. Meanwhile, Jun was left all alone in the car. He was crushed against the seat, with the right side of the other vehicle pressed against his chest. Before his eyes was the headlight of the car. Though he kept his eyes clenched shut, pouring tears of pain and fear, eventually the tears stopped coming and he slowly opened his eyes.
The headlight of the over truck had been dyed red with blood.
Though he could not see it, for he could not look up, the other driver had been thrown out of his truck and landed dead upon the hood of his vehicle. When the ambulance arrived two hours later, they pulled a wide-eyed Jun from the wreckage. It turned out that the crash had been a three on three. A larger truck slammed into the car which then crashed into Hatsume’s vehicle. The driver of the truck was knocked unconscious, and both people in the other vehicle were killed. Hatsume ended up with a broken leg. Jun was taken to the hospital for a look over. When he was released a week later he was still unwilling to speak, though the gash through his chest had been stitched, and his broken ribs had been mended.
Because he was so averse to speaking, his parents allowed him to miss his first year of school, agreeing to send him the next year. His mother had to take a job so they could get out of debt for the cost of the hospital, but the neighbors would stop by often to check up on him, and a kindly hospital nurse would stop by to check if he was feeling any better. When he did attend school, the cataracts had formed over his eyes. Because he was taught to be well-mannered and not trouble people on certain subjects, he would not stutter about his eyesight problems to his parents. On his seventh birthday his father had lost his job, and two weeks before the next year of school, he had gone completely blind.
His parents found out about his blindness two months into the new school year. Jun blamed all the family problems on his lies, but his parents assured him it was no big deal. They went to the nurse for help, and she agreed to attend to the child. Jun was taken out of school, and tutored by the nurse. His parents were rarely around anymore, his father now working two jobs to pay for the nurse’s aid, and his mother would often try to help out where she could. Jun learned both brail and sign language from the nurse. He lapsed in and out of not talking to anyone for weeks on end.
When Jun was nine years old the couple found out they were pregnant with another child. When he was ten, the baby girl was born. The couple vowed not to make mistakes with this child. Hatsume left her job again to stay home with the child, while Daisuke continued to work the two jobs. The new child was babied and protected. Jun never met Hanabi until he was thirteen years old. On Hanabi’s third birthday, they had decided to celebrate with a family birthday. This was the first time the pair had met, and the first time Hanabi saw her older brother, she began crying.
Jun appeared on television. He did not speak, but he was definitely seen, and talked about. They were talking about a new surgery, and he had been specially hand picked and the surgery was being founded by an important company. His dungeon was a doll house. When confronting his shadow it is revealed that actually somewhat enjoys being blind, enjoying the charity, the mothering and attention that comes with it, and that he views people as tools. It also reveals his fear of the surgery.
