Name: Aki Himura
Age: 16
Date of Birth: May 15th,
Gender: Female
Occupation: Student
Class: 2-1
Personality: Aki is most certainly not a difficult person to figure out... unless you had a hard time understanding happy people. As it is, she has a hard time understanding anyone that isn't as chipper as she is. She might be considered a little air-headed, but she just enjoys the simple things in life. Aki is always smiling and and laughing (even during class). She has a lot of friends, and she tries her best to help out everyone she can. The only problem with her overly-determined desire to help all (she still dreams of being a super hero when she grows up), she gets bored and frustrated with difficult things very easily. Her notebooks are filled with sketches from during class when her mind wanders, and her close friends get frustrated when she tries to leave duties up to them that she had originally taken on. It's not that she wants to be considered flaky or anything (because she will always follow through with it in the end, even if forced to do it), but she has a habit to search out new and entertaining things very quickly. Despite this, she tries her best at everything she starts--as long as it holds her attention.
Aki enjoys scary stories and haunted houses, often making her friends go with her on summer trips to abandoned locations to try and find ghosts. She also loves to eat, but spicy food is her favorite. She also loves strawberry flavored ramune and anything that's melon flavored (Popsicle, fruit chews, soda, etc). She enjoys hanging out with her friends after school, and has organized a few photoshoots with them, as she is in the art/Photography club. Aki also loves going to karaoke, even though she's not too good. And: she's a bit of an otaku. As well as being a super hero, she wants to be a mangaka when she grows up.
+ Positive Characteristics upbeat, cheerful, creative, helpful, will always listen to people, determine, will always finish what she starts (even if she doesn't do the work in between middle and end)
+ Negative Characteristics Kuuki Yomenai ("KY": oblivious to the mood of the situation), rather flaky despite her best efforts, a little too positive, can't stay serious for long
Appearance: Reaching about 5'4", Aki doesn't cut a threatening figure in the slightest. She's just barely too skinny to be considered 'slim', and has long limbs despite her lack of height. She has a small but sharp face, off-set by her round eyes. Her eyes are a soft brown, always bright in reflection of her large amount of energy; she normally wears contacts, but will wear glasses from time to time due to having rather bad eye sight. Aki has thick, long black hair and reaches down to her elbows. It's naturally rather straight, but has a bit of a wave to it because she ties it up so often into a pony tail or a braid, or some strange experimental hair-do. Her uneven bangs hang into her right eye (her cousin cut them for her, so they're a bit choppy) and she'll often pin them back with some kind of cute barrette.
When she's not in her school uniform, her clothes normally consist of T-shirts that are much too large for her, and are more often than not covered in paint splatters. The t-shirt is pulled back and tied with a rubber band or whatever she can get her hands on. She'll wear khaki shorts whenever she gets the chance, even if it's cold out. She loves her flats, and has often doodled over them until there is no more room to doodle.
She has two piercings on each ear (the second pair done by her cousin), and she wears a few brightly colored necklaces. Aki can always be seen toting around an overly large stuffed frog, even during school. She likes wearing hats, and her favorite kind are newsboy caps.

Expression: Persuasive
Diligence: Persistent
Understanding: Kindly
History: Born to Miyu and Hana Himura, Aki is an only child that grew up a little spoiled by her parents. Her father is a computer engineer, and her mother works at a local daycare, where Aki sometimes helps out after school on days she doesn't have club. She's lived in Inaba all her life, and doesn't have much of a problem with the 'boring' life-style that it brings. She fills her time with various kinds of art (she prefers using mixed media and drawing with pencil/markers/crayons), a passion she picked up from her cousin.
At the age of nine, her cousin Yuuki came to live with her family. Yuuki was very much an out-spoken, artistic young woman of seventeen, and treated Aki like a little sister. Her cousin had just graduated from high school and came to live with them to cut down on living costs when she went to an art school near by. It was then that Aki began to pick up the desire for all kinds of art. Yuuki wasted no time in taking care of her younger cousin, taking her around when she went to paint and gave Aki her first digital camera on her thirteenth birthday. There is no doubt that Aki's cheerful personality and sense of style came from her cousin.
Yuuki moved out of the house during the fall of 2010. However, she still will meet up with Aki on the weekends. Aki has started to work on a portfolio of her photography and some of her art, with Yuuki's guidance, in order to start applying for art schools.
