Name: Kazuki Kaede
Age: 15
Date of Birth: August 27th
Gender: Male
Occupation: Student
School: Yasogami High School
Class: 1-2
Personality: Gentle, kind, docile, and... well... almost pathetic are all great words most people use to describe Kazuki. Aaannnd they're pretty much all true. Growing up with an overprotective mother has made him the sort of weak kid that all the bullies would want to shove in a trash can or a locker, and if it weren't for his good attitude and understanding towards others he probably would've been an easy target. He generally gets along with just about anyone, because he's always listening to others rather than saying much himself. He always puts everyone around him before himself when they need help, so he's a great person to go to in a time of need even if he's not really a school counselor. However, the major flaw in that is that the boy is rarely at school. He'll stay home as much as possible for different 'illnesses' that really just exist in either his head or his mother's.
While he's not necessarily the jumpy sort until something actually does happen, it's very clear that he has a number of odd fears that hold him back in many ways. He's terrified of getting hurt or catching some sort of disease, so he avoids sports and carries around bandaids and disinfectants of different sorts wherever he goes. If there is a cold going around, no matter how slight it is, he'll make sure to wear a health mask that day if he even dares going to school. And if he himself shows any sort of small symptoms that he has anything even if it's imagination he'll stay at home, too. It's for this reason that he's severely lagging behind in his classes despite the fact that he's a rather bright boy. The school had threatened to hold him back a year if he missed another day, but he managed to avoid it by agreeing to participate in a club instead. The group he joined was the school's Health Committee. He was at the nurses office often enough anyway, and he enjoys to help people. Seemed suiting enough. He just washes his hands and wears a health mask more often.
There are more fun parts to his personality. With his sweet nature he's actually a very manipulative person when he wants to be. It's this aspect alone that puts him a step above a doormat, since he has been known to subtly turn tables when he feels he really needs to. He makes it a point never to take advantage of anyone, though. It's mostly just talking people into doing things like taking the medicine they need in the school clinic if they refuse. Also, he does have a few hobbies. When he's not being a TV-watching couch-potato at home, he really loves to cook and bake. His favorite ingredient, as well as his favorite snack, is chocolate. He loves it more than any other edible substance on the planet. However, it's definitely an unhealthy addiction. His mother doesn't let him have it and most people know better than to give him any, too, because once he gets a piece he tends to go on a chocolate eating spree until he makes himself sick. Afterwards he regrets it and often tries to replace his cravings with other things, but they only make him grumpy. You just can't replace something like chocolate. Thankfully, as of now he's been cocoa-sober for eight months and swears he's going to quit the stuff this time.
Positive Characteristics
Extremely Kind, Hardworking When Needed, Helpful, Frighteningly Manipulative, Amazing Cook
Negative Characteristics
Cowardly, Worrier, Hypochondriac, Superstitious, Obsessive-Compulsive
Statistics:
Courage: Average
Knowledge: Broad
Expression: Touching
Diligence: Thorough
Understanding: Motherly
Appearance: Just as one would suspect for a boy with his personality quirks, Kazuki keeps himself tremendously well kept. His jet black hair is just long enough for his loose curls to be evident. It's styled flawlessly without a hair out of place. His eyes are a mellow green in color that suit his usual meek look and expressions quite nicely. His skin color is average, though slightly dipping toward the pale side too due lack of sun exposure, and his height is a non-intimidating 5' 5". His weight is also slightly below the average since he's a scrawny boy that seems to have no muscle build whatsoever. Also, he makes it a point to keep his nails always clipped, filed, and cleaned to perfection as well. If anything, he's a cutie, but he's far from the masculine sort.
His school uniform is always perfectly pressed and lint free. He keeps the jacket of the uniform neatly buttoned, but underneath he wears a collared pink shirt rather than the typical white shirt. Casually, he can usually be found in the same sort of shirt, but with khaki pants and a yellow beret. Of course, the outfit varies depending on the time of the year, but he always stays within the color scheme. The only things to be noted is that he's not the type to ever wear blue jeans or t-shirts. His shoes remain solid black dress shoes no matter what the season. The only accessories he is never seen without are his glasses that are cream colored on the sides while the front is a shiny metal around the rectangular lenses, and a silver charm bracelet with a variety of good-luck and good-heath charms. He actually looks pretty fashionable even if his clothing style and color choices are a wee bit feminine. We all know real men wear pink anyway.

History: Kazuki was born an average child to Kaede Kichirou and Kimiko. Really. There was nothing special about him. The only thing that really made him unique was his bad eyesight and that's not necessarily the first thing anyone would take time to brag about. However, his parents were somewhat impressive in his opinion. Kichirou was a doctor at Inaba Municipal Hospital and his mother was one of the nurses there until she had quit her job to be a stay at home mother. He personally thought his parents were amazing people, so he was a good boy that followed along with everything he was told. Doing nothing wrong and always listening was probably the first thing he actually did do wrong. While he had a pretty average childhood, his parents whom he looked up to so dearly often ground the worst beliefs and fears into his brain. His father wasn't nearly as bad as his overbearing and overprotective mother was.
He shouldn't go out when it rains or he could catch pneumonia and die, he should always wash his hands as often as possible or he could pick up some horrible bacteria and get sick, he should always wear a health mask around sick people or he could catch something from them, he should always put disinfectants on even small wounds or they might get infected and they'd have to chop his arm off, he should brush his teeth at the beginning and end of the day as well as after meals or all of his teeth could fall out, he shouldn't eat strange foods since he might have an allergy, he shouldn't share drinks of food with people or he might catch something from them, and for that matter he shouldn't even kiss anyone or he could get mono. That seemingly long list is just a few of the many threatening fears his mother engraved in his brain from a very early age. Any other parent would've said kids will be kids, but his mother was determined to keep him safe from any small possibility. He was raised like a sickly child that wasn't really even sickly.
Her clinging only got worse over the years, but Kazuki would never question his mother. No matter what her concern or request, he did everything she asked of him. She knew what was best for him. She must've. Even if he couldn't go out and play in the mud with the other kids, it was all for the best. That's just how he was doomed to live. He was somewhat melancholy about the situation once he hit his teen years, but even he managed to convince himself that he wasn't depressed. Better safe than sorry.
Finally, something not-so-safe happened in his life that he never saw coming. It was far from a blessing. After being randomly interviewed on the street to take a quick survey about the town's opinions on the murders happening, Kazuki was targeted and kidnapped before being thrown into the TV. Wee. Lots of fun there. His dungeon? Candy Land gone wrong!
Kazuki's much more disheveled-looking shadow was something that frightened him far more than anything before ever had. With his other side gone haywire, it announced his desire for his mother's death so that he wouldn't have to deal with her overprotective and overbearing nature any more. Then he could just be a free normal kid like anyone else and have all sorts of fun. With frightening accusations such as these anyone would deny it, right? Thankfully, it was just an exaggeration of the truth like all shadows tend to be. After his(probably just annoying as hell given his persona's main skills) shadow was brought down he did admit it was a part of him. While not going as far as wishing his mother dead, he did have a deep desire to become stronger and to be like everyone else. However, he knew that he needed to stop blaming his mother and using her as his excuse, since he knew he needed to change himself on his own. It was his own fault for not trying to break the rules every now and then to let her know he would be okay. Unfortunately, he also knew that changing himself would be quite a feat and told his rescuers that, even if he couldn't help himself in the end, he would do everything in his power to help them. The Japanese god that cured others even though he could not cure himself, Binzuru-Sonja, awakened as his Persona to help the group from that day forward.
