Tag for the Investigation Team! =D
There was something to be said for summer vacation. A lot to be said, really. There were no classes, the weather was good, most high schoolers spent their days either sleeping in or hanging out with friends or, if they were lucky, combining the two with their significant other.
Unfortunately for the high schooler composed Investigation Team -- members: Souji Seta, Yosuke Hanamura, Chie Satonaka, Yukiko Amagi, Kanji Tatsumi, Rise Kujikawa, and finally, Naoto Shirogane -- summer was turning out to be a very different animal this year. While the days were sunny, the nights were often clouded and wet, leaving the burdened Team no choice but to make rescue after rescue. There had been a few days in between TV trips, but those were spent recuperating and sleeping off the lingering pain of battle. Summer, in short, had been a bust.
Yosuke had been determined to change that. And, through virtue of being his best friend (and also the nagging fact that most of the girls on the team would hang up the moment Yosuke let the words 'I had an idea' escape his lips), Souji was stuck organizing his friend's surprisingly mundane plan. Simply put, the movies. Yosuke had seen an ad for a film that he felt, for the sake of the investigation, it would be absolutely neglectful not to see.
Souji, himself, thought that going to see a bad American horror flick just because of it's title ('The Fog' -- Yosuke found this hilarious, for whatever reason) seemed a little short sighted. But even though he'd had more than enough of fog to last him the rest of his life, the reality that they did need a night to relax was impossible to ignore. Apparently the others had thought so too, as they were now standing outside the theater in Okina Station. Kanji was in line getting tickets while the others mingled out front talking about this and that. On the train ride over, someone (Souji couldn't remember who) had made the rule that any talk of the investigation was strictly forbidden tonight.
Personally? Souji gave them five minutes. Maybe more like two.
"Does anyone know what this movie is even about?" Souji asked, hands in his pockets, "You know...besides 'fog'."
